My mom thinks that violent video games are a bad influence, so I never played them when I was younger. I do play some violent video games now, but I don’t think they’ve had any impact on me. My dad also forbade me from watching certain TV shows that he deemed “stupid” and “inappropriate,” such as Ed, Edd, n Eddy and Courage the Cowardly Dog.
I think I have modeled my brother and father, somewhat. Honestly, I don’t particularly believe that I have ever modeled anyone. There are certain things that I do and say that my mom swears are reminiscent of them. But I guess I have modeled my friends to a certain extent. I have two friends with whom I am pretty close, and sometimes I feel like I say things that they would say. I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but just the manner of speaking and turn of phrase that I sometimes use reminds me of them. So yeah, I don’t really model anyone that closely. I don’t really pay attention to anything in the media. I think I’ve always kind of marched to the beat of my own drummer.
